The University of Adelaide is Australia is offering Global Citizens Scholarship. This scholarship rewards international students commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification who have received academic merit in their studies.

Scholarship conditions:

  1. Applicants must have a University of Adelaide offer or admission (full or conditional) as a full-fee paying international student.
  2. Available for students commencing in 2020 only;
  3. Available for commencing direct-entry international undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students, including those who are required to undertake a Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) (check the link) prior to their degree commencement;
  4. A minimum GPA score as stated below in funding section;
  5. Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand);
  6. Available for study in any discipline (exceptions apply).

The following students are not eligible to receive this scholarship:

  1. Students who are studying Masters by Research or PhD programs.
  2. Students who have packaged offers of University of Adelaide College or Eynesbury programs (packaged) with a University of Adelaide degree.
  3. Current University of Adelaide students who are transferring from one program to another prior to successful completion of their program of study (internal transfer students).

Scholarship funding:

The scholarship payment will be made in the form of a tuition fee waiver directly into your tuition fee account thereby reducing your tuition fee liability by the scholarship amount for each teaching period during the specified duration of study. Please note that the tuition fee waiver may not be reflected on your tuition fee account until the census date of your intake.

  • As for commencing an undergraduate qualification:
  1. Year 12 overseas student with a minimum raw ATAR equivalent of 80 for a 15% scholarship.
  2. Year 12 overseas student with a minimum raw ATAR equivalent  of 90 for a 30% scholarship.
  • As for commencing a postgraduate qualification
  1. Grade point average (GPA) of minimum 5.0/7 or equivalent to receive a 15% scholarship.
  2. Grad point average (GPA) of minimum 6.0/7 or equivalent to receive a 30% scholarship.
