Job Summary

The Admissions Application Processor is responsible for receiving and processing admission applications and associated documents (i.e., transcripts and test scores) for the University’s graduate and special academic programs; establishing and maintaining correspondence with new, re-enrolling, or transfer applicants; rendering admissions decisions for outreach and international student applicants who intend to enroll at Alderson Broaddus University. This is a full-time, non-exempt position working 37.5 hours per week and subject to benefits applicable to this employee classification.

Duties

The essential work responsibility of the Admissions Application Processor includes but is not limited to:
• Processing admissions applications for incoming students seeking enrollment into the University’s graduate and special programs
• Likewise, updating and maintaining student records and databases using Radius CRM and Ellucian Student Information System
• Similarly, scanning, indexing, and processing admissions documents to compile and create complete and accurate records of admission materials.

• Maintaining admission checklists for on-line application status
• Also, communicating with applicants during the application and admission decision cycle
• Determining the eligibility for admission and rendering admission decisions in accordance with policy and in collaboration with a supervisor(s)
• Likewise, the incumbent is responsible for continuous review of assigned application dashboards to facilitate application completion
• Working closely with the program director(s), admissions counselors, the Office of the Registrar and other enrollment management services regarding applicant’s admission status
• Similarly, he/she will be serving as the Designated School Official to facilitate acceptance of international student applicants
• Furthermore, performing other related duties as assigned and/or directed

Qualifications

• Associate degree
• Proven ability to work with minimal supervision
• Likewise, the candidate must possess a good work ethic and cheerful, friendly disposition
• Also, excellent oral and written communication, organizational and time management skills
• Additionally, technological proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other software applications
• Working knowledge of computer data entry
• Proven ability to learn quickly, work efficiently, and accurately under set deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced office environment
•Also, the  ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
•Liewise, commitment to maintaining the confidentiality
• Also, the ability and willingness to participate in projects that support the enrollment goals and mission of the University
• Furthermore, the incumbent should have the ability to be a team player.
