The United Nations ,in association with pour la Solidarité et l'Assistance Socio-Sanitaire (ASASS), is offering an online volunteer opportunity as Information Security Specialist. ASASS develops School districts and across-manage multi programs management system software to help school and community projects.

Background and Objectives:-

  • ASASS develops School districts and across-manage multi programs management system software to help school and community projects.

  • You will support cloud-based software by ensuring it is secured. 

  • The objective is to enable school branches to use secured software. Thereforem you will:

    • Help protect ASASS emails, websites, and the SMS, LMS, and Apps against network breaches, hackers, and human error. 

    • Keep ASASS open source software and apps with websites in good health on behalf of all schools in Africa and all users. 

    • Secure ASASS system. 

    • Assist in writing policies and procedures to reinforce security. 

    • Coordinate with multiple teams developers, designers teams. 

    • Document reports and feedback.

Tasks:-

  • You help with web-based Software Security, enhance Information security for the users, email, scan trouble, review the installation, find out the wrong setup, unsafe tools or codes, and suggest solutions. 
  • You will Analyze and share findings of vulnerability, suggest solutions and implementation solutions too. 
  • You will identify security vulnerabilities within networks and decide accessible from the Internet, as well as internal servers (VLAN, Active Directory, File-sharing Servers, Firewalls, VPN, DNS, Proxy, FTP, etc.). 
  • You will identify unsafe configurations and exploitable security vulnerabilities within the cloud infrastructure. 
  • Do scan web penetration testing which Identifies unsafe development practices and exploitable vulnerabilities in our web applications, websites, (API's, etc. Java, PHP, .NET, Angular, React, Vue, Python, Ruby, REST, JSON, Ajax, etc.)

Requirements:-

  • Experience ( Minimum 3-5+ years). 
  • Knowledge about hosting web services on the cloud is preferred.
  • You should be a specialist in cyber security, IT security Management, data security.
  • You should be able to maintain and achieve tasks. 
  • Analysis Technologies, data, and risk preventing. 
  • Capacity to advise any event or problem detected.
  • You should be good at English or French.
