Himam offers a job opportunity to work as a fundraising advisor. The coordination committee for civil society organizations (HIMAM) is a coalition that was established in 2015 and includes 16 civil society organizations.

Eligibility:

You must have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in English, or any related field.
  2. Minimum of 7-year experience in grant writing, prospect research, general fundraising.
  3. Knowledge of human rights issues.
  4. Experience in writing and developing relevant project budgets.
  5. Familiarity with an institutional donors’ database and the different requirements for various donors.
  6. Knowledge and familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research.
  7. Skill to exercise diplomacy in dealing with others and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  8. High level of both spoken and written skills in English and Arabic.
  9. High knowledge in the overall operations of NGOs.
  10. Proficiency with computer software (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  11. Presentation skills.
  12. Written communication and problem solving skills.
  13. Be a deadline-oriented.
  14. The ability to process improvement and coordination skills.
  15. Strategic planning skills.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible of:

  • Research, identify and qualify funding opportunities from donor, corporate, foundation, and government sources.
  • Develop, create, write, prepare, and complete grant proposals in timely manner involving key stakeholders and staff.
  • Develop the current programs and projects for Himam’s members.
  • Develop innovative approaches for achieving positive outcomes and driving proposals to completion within the deadline requirements.
  • Search for opportunities to create niche for Himam as a member or consultant body in other international non-governmental organizations.
  • Developing customized proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Build up good relations with donors, international organizations and the private sector.
  • Establish and develop good relations and ties with regional and international media organizations.
  • Develop strategic implementation plans for Himam based on available funding opportunities.
  • Follow up on all logistical and requirements to implement all the aforementioned responsibilities.
