The Graduate School of Arts And Sciences at Harvard University calls application postdoctoral fellowship in STEM, Social Sciences, and Humanities to serve as Graduate Writing Fellows in GSAS’s newly merged office for writing and fellowships: the Center for Fellowships, Writing, and Communicating Ideas. Discipline-specific Graduate Writing Fellows will assist students with all aspects of academic writing, including fellowship proposals, as well as other modes of communication. At least one of the individuals hired would ideally have expertise and background in Latinx studies, with the possibility that they would be asked to teach a course in this area as part of their responsibilities as a postdoctoral fellow.

Position Summary

Graduate Writing Fellows will work as members of a team reporting to the Center’s director. Responsibilities will include offering regular individual consultations to GSAS students on papers, theses, dissertations, fellowship proposals, presentations, talks, and other modes of communication, as well as designing, promoting, and leading small group workshops and events that will help GSAS students to communicate their research. Fellows will also work with faculty and administrators in their area of expertise to provide customized research support for students and create innovative programming. Fellows are not expected to be in residence on Harvard’s campus for the academic year 2020-2021 and must be able to work remotely. Opportunities for professional development will also be available to the Fellows.
