The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Cash for Protection Senior Officer to join the team and work in Beirut, Lebanon for 2020. 

Major Responsibilities:

  1.  Act as focal point for receiving internal and external referrals of individuals and families from all regions in need for protection cash.
  2. Delegate received referrals to designed field teams in the regions, and follow up on field tasks (conducting risk assessments and eligibility determination).
  3. Review database and approve eligibility scoring for each cash.
  4. Provide on-going support and guidance for field team on eligibility criteria and program scope of intervention.
  5. Assure relevant referrals are reordered and followed up by other service providers.
  6. Ensure short term monitoring is conducted and recorded on timely manner.  
  7. Represent protection cash program in coordination meetings when needed.
  8. Ensure complete and updated documentation related to each individual case on program database, RAIS, activity info and Protection shared box.
  9. Oversee the management of data store, ensuring confidentiality of information collected/services provided.
  10. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly work plans in a timely manner.
  11. Participate in weekly meetings to ensure adherence to minimum standards.
  12. Take the lead on approving the transfers’ requests with direct support of the Senior Protection Manager-BML and based on needs.
  13. Direct Coordination with internal and external programs to assure identification and referrals for protection cash are successful.
  14. Provide trainings and orientations to the program team when needed, and with external relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor/Degree in Social work, Counseling, Psychology or other related field.

Work Experience:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in managing reasonable field caseload.
  2. Experience working with refugee population preferred.
  3. Case management and Cash for Protection program experience is a MUST.
  4. Solid intensive field experience on emergency response.
  5. Experience in remote management and coaching.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of clients at all times.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  1. Leadership skills, ability to work autonomously, take initiative and responsibly escalate issues.
  2. Ability to travel constantly to the field all over the country.
  3.  Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility.
  4. Strong team spirit, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment.
  5. Flexibility in working overtime when needed and ability to handle pressure well.
  6. Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).

Language Skills: 

Arabic and English fluency is required.
