Qualifications for Vacancy for Nursing Adjuncts

Current RN licensure in New York State, a Masters degree in Nursing at the time of appointment with clinical teaching experience. A Masters degree in Nursing Education and clinical experience in Medical-Surgical.

Additionally, candidates must also possess good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work in a multicultural environment, and a willingness to work and contribute collaboratively.

Duties:

We are seeking to teach in an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)-accredited, Associates Degree nursing program. Teaching responsibility includes clinical assignments offered during the day, evening, or weekend to off-campus clinical sites.

MVCC is looking for exceptional colleagues. The University seeks candidates with: an understanding of the college mission and teaching experience in a comprehensive community college. Also, a focus on student success in a learner-centered environment.

Likewise, a willingness to use technology to support learning in the academic and clinical setting, including online instruction and assessment of student learning outcomes. Additionally, the position requires student advisement and committee responsibilities, curriculum development and program assessment activities, variable teaching schedules, and alternative instructional strategies as assigned. Also, participation in service-based learning and interest in international initiatives are appreciated.
