Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a PhD Position with a background in Psychology or related fields at the Department of Organization. By announcing a scholarship in Organizational Psychology and/or Human Resource Management (HRM), the department wishes to strengthen its research capacity within these domains.

Proposal Themes:

Copenhagen Business School seeks, for example, research proposals addressing one of the following themes:

  • Social psychology of organizing.
  • Stress and well-being in changing forms of organizations.
  • Psychological intervention methods in organizations.
  • Talentmanagement in professional organizations.
  • HRM and the agile organization.
  • Nordic management and HRM.

Eligibility:

To be considered, 

  • The candidate should have a basic training at the Masters level (similar to the 3 + 2 Bologna process). 
  • Applicants must have completed an MA/M.Sc. either in Psychology, Business Administration and Psychology or related social science fields. 
  • Priority will be given to applicants with high grades from their universities. 
  • For enrollment in the PhD School, applicants must have received a grade 10 or higher on the Danish 7-point grading scale on their master’s thesis. 
  • The applicants must be fluent in English.

Candidate's Responsibilities:

The three-year PhD program at CBS allows the applicant to conduct research under the supervision of CBS professors, supported by research training courses. The program is highly international, and applicant is expected to participate in international research conferences and to spend time abroad as a visiting PhD student. 

The teaching responsibilities associated with the scholarship comprise undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervision in social psychology, cognitive psychology, work psychology, organizational development or HRM. Teaching obligations equivalent of ½ year’s work (840 work hours).

Financial Support:

The scholarships are fully salaried positions, according to the national Danish collective agreement. The scholarship includes the tuition fees, office space, travel grants plus a salary, currently starting with per month app. DKK 27.363 up to DKK 33.045 depending on seniority, plus a pension contribution totalling 17,1 %. The salary level and appointment is determined by the Ministry of Finance’s collective agreement with the Central Academic Organisation.
