UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity, as Progressive Volunteers is looking for 5 online volunteers to research funding opportunities for an educational, skills/economic empowerment and advocacy programmes to be implemented in Kenya.
Progressive Volunteers has been working with a team of dedicated volunteers to improve the quality of education, promote life skills and economic empowerment. The objective of this programme is to scale up on a number of initiatives started by the organization and build on the successes of the projects to roll out new projects in 2020/2021. Our volunteers will also gain skills and experience in community empowerment.
Volunteer duration and working hours:
6-10 hours per week for overall 15 weeks.
Eligibility criteria:
- Volunteers should have a strong experience in research and fundraising.

Volunteer duties:
The team of 5 volunteers will be required to;
- Research small grant prospects and advise the organization on which ones to approach.
- Work with PV staff to interpret guidelines and gather material and information necessary for submission of a strong proposal.
- Develop or review grant proposals as requested in time to meet deadlines and prepare the proposals for submissions.
- Attend online meetings necessary to accomplish the required work. Kindly note that our volunteers are not entitled to represent the organization towards third parties including funders.
