The Sohl Lab at San Diego State University in San Diego is seeking to hire a postdoctoral scientist to help advance our work on understanding how isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) drives cancer.

Summary

The successful candidate will lead a project on determining the organelle-specific consequences of cancer-relevant IDH1 mutations, and how alterations in organelle-specific pathways are communicated to other locations within the cell. The ideal candidate will have completed their Ph.D. and is a motivated, collaborative, ambitious, creative, and detail-oriented individual. The Laboratory is interested in independent, enthusiastic, and creative scientists that value collaboration in a diverse and enthusiastic lab environment. Duties 

Postdoctoral Scientist at the San Diego will do the following duties

Research, 75%

Data analysis and communication, 15%

Professional development, 10%

Experience

Ph.D. in cancer biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related field.
Experience in molecular cell biology, basic cancer biology, and biochemistry.
