Souq Fann, in collaboration with the SEED project (Sustainable Energy and Economic Development), will hold a competition dedicated to young designers and design students, with the aim of finding sustainable alternative options to reuse old bulbs.

An average of 25 selected participants will get the opportunity to receive a quantity of used bulbs in order to come up with a line of products within a limited time frame. The winner will get the opportunity to display and sell her/his products on Souq Fann, and will receive a 50 JOD voucher to shop on Souq Fann.

Eligibility Criteria:

Residing in
Jordan
Being registered in design study or having an high interest for design
Being under 27 years old

The selected participants have to be able to pick up the bulbs at Souq Fann office, located at 39 Mecca Street, as well as they have to be able to drop off their creations at the same address.

Winning Criteria:

The line of products should consist of a minimum of 3 products that can be reproducible in order to be sold on Souq Fann website. Each product should be made up of at least one bulb - other types of materials can be used. The products should be well finished and be part of a specific concept.

Timeframe:

Wednesday 2 September: Deadline to receive the applications.
Monday 7 September: Competition’s kick-off.
Monday 5 October: Deadline for the selected participants to drop off their creations.
Sunday 11 October: Announcement of the winner.
