The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking to hire a Rapid Protection and Connectivity Assessment Project Consultant to join the team and work in Amman, Jordan for 2020. The incumbent will assist the Accountability team in the planning, implementation and recording of a rapid protection assessment and he will facilitate three trainings with IRC Coordinators, Managers and field staff within a specific timeline during August and September 2020.

Main deliverables:

  1. Preparing sample from targeted community to include 150 respondent from different nationalities in Amman and other governorates if possible with consideration to gender diversity in the sample.
  2. Conduct data collection with the determined 150 respondents through phone survey or survey link to be filled independently by the respondent.
  3. Provide support in generating the assessment report especially in finding, trends and recommendations.
  4. Support in presenting the Findings and trends, in the programs discussion session.
  5. Identify training modules and proposed approaches for different levels of staffing including Coordinators, managers and frontlines.
  6. Delivering a training for targeted audience from staff.
  7. Share an observation report after the conduction of the training.
  8. Participate and feed in the Program adaptation discussions.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in the related field.
  2. Fluency in English and Arabic required.
  3. Strong knowledge and experience with INGOs.
  4. Excellent communication skills, cultural awareness, flexibility, ability to improvise, team player.
  5. Interpersonal & communications skills.
  6. Attention to detail.
  7. Interviewing skills.
  8. Data Collection skills.
  9. Well organized and efficient.
