University of the People is offering scholarships to dedicated students who wish to pursue a Master’s Degree in education. This scholarship is aimed to sustain the quality of teaching and learning demanded by International Baccalaureate Programs. This scholarship will be awarded to applicants with a lifelong goal of serving their community and educating others.

Eligibility:

  1. Applicants must currently hold a bachelor’s degree and be fluent in English.
  2. Prospective or enrolled students of the University of People’s Master of Education in Advanced Teaching Degree ("Master of Education Degree") are eligible but previous enrollment is not a pre-requisite to apply.
  3. Applicants must have some teaching experience, demonstrate a commitment to education, the IB pedagogy and their local community.
  4. Applicants cannot already hold a master’s degree in any subject area.
  5. Prospective students must provide proof of admission within 60 days of being awarded the scholarship. 
  6. Enrolled students must be in good academic and financial standing with University of the People.
  7. International Baccalaureate and University of the People employees and their immediate families including spouse, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses, are not eligible to apply.
  8. All submissions and application materials must be in English.
  9. By submitting a scholarship application, you give consent for the IB to contact you about the scholarship application.
  10. Applicants must agree to the award terms and conditions prior to receiving any funding from the IB.

The scholarships will provide funding for up to 13 courses to earn the UoPeople M.Ed. degree.
