Microsoft is offering a job opportunity as a Support Escalation Engineer to join the team in 3 locations: Lisbon in Portugal, Cairo in Egypt and Romania for 2020. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, while working with diverse audiences including highly technical IT professionals, developers, architects, and executive management.
  2. Exhibit leadership through personal responsibility, accountability and teamwork.
  3. Act as a technical focal point in cooperative relationships with other companies.
  4. Manage crisis situations that may involve technically challenging issues and diverse audiences.
  5. Own and resolve technically complex mission critical or politically hot customer issues
  6. Be responsive to customer needs which may sometimes require outside of normal business hours or on-call rotation.
  7. Maintain strong working knowledge of released products, take ownership for product improvement, and participate in pre-release activities and BETA programs.
  8. Lead meetings to share knowledge with other engineers and develop customer solutions efficiently.

Qualifications:

  1. Great knowledge of SharePoint 2013, SharePoint 2016.
  2. Good knowledge and experience on ULS analysis.
  3. Good understanding of Fiddler and Browser Developer Tools.
  4. Good understanding of PowerShell.
  5. Good understanding of SharePoint Designer 2013.
  6. Good understanding of Network analysis (http requests, https, cookies, authentication, etc.).
  7. Good understanding of Web standards (HTML, CSS, AJAX, etc.).
  8. Good understanding of Javascript debugging.
  9. Good understanding of general troubleshooting methods (scoping questions, narrow down the issue).
  10. Good understanding of Office 365 technology.
  11. Good understanding knowledge of Windows OS, 7, 8 and 10 (Program Files, Control panel, registry, Processes, services, etc.).
  12. Ideally, you might also be familiar with:
  13. Understanding of domain infrastructure.
  14. Understanding Office Core applications: interface, usage/functions (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access).
  15. Understanding Office integration with different platforms: Windows, 3rd party network shares/OS, mobiles, SharePoint, OneDrive.
  16. C# code reading and analysis.
