Google is looking for a talented Revenue Accountant to join the team and work in California, USA for 2020. Google accountants handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. As a Revenue Accountant, you know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and you'll review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform month-end close processes, including agreement review, processing payments and preparing/posting journal entries. Prepare and present financials to management and support with any ad-hoc requests from cross-functional teams.
  2. Identify opportunities and implement programs to centralize, eliminate, automate, or send out activities. Work with providers to send out established or mature processes and manage ongoing activities.
  3. Partner with internal teams, Engineering, and business partners to define, establish, and implement accounting systems, processes, and procedures. Review processes and implement controls to ensure mitigated risk for Google.
  4. Work through accounting implications and confirm we can operationally support business agreements. Provide accounting guidance to Sales, Product, and other cross-functional teams.

Minimum qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  2. CPA, CA or equivalent certification.
  3. 4 years of relevant work experience in Accounting or Auditing.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Experience with driving business decisions through analyzing large and complex data sets.
  2. Experience managing process improvement.
  3. Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with a focus on revenue recognition.
  4. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to handle ambiguity.
  5. Effective skills and ability to understand and present data.
  6. Effective business judgment as well as communication and project management skills.
