Job Duties:

The Department of Political Science invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 13, 2021. Additionally, the successful candidate will become one of the faculty members in the Department of Political Science with primary teaching responsibilities in the Security Studies program. Also, he/she must teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in the classroom and online. Additionally, the teaching load will be 3:2. Service to the university, community, and profession is expected.

Qualifications for Vacancy for Assistant Professor

Minimum Education/Experience:

A Ph.D. in Political Science and Government, Homeland Security, International Relations and National Security Studies, International/Global Studies, or Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution. Additionally, the position is open in terms of regional or issue-area specialization within the broader security-related context. Likewise, they must provide evidence in the document of dissertation defense and completion of study prior to hiring.

Also, they should have the degree by August 13, 2021. Candidates with Ph.D. conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the rank of Assistant Professor upon the initial appointment. Additionally, the University will initially appoint the incumbents with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to their first reappointment. Furthermore, qualifying degrees must be conferred from appropriately accredited institutions.
