Monash University in Australia is offering scholarships to a high-achieving student seeking asylum on a bridging visa with the ambition to change his future. The successful candidate will receive 100% international student funding for a Monash undergraduate degree in the Monash Business School, plus a yearly allowance, and accommodation.

Eligibility:

The candidate must meet the following criteria:

Be an International student.
A person who is in Australia and currently on:
1. a Bridging Visa E, or
2. a Bridging Visa A and has applied for a Permanent Protection visa, or
3. a Temporary Protection Visa, or
4. a Safe Haven Enterprise Visa.
A commencing or continuing student enrolled or intending to enroll in any undergraduate degree in the Monash Business School at a Monash campus in Australia.

Benefits:

Full tuition fees paid for the duration of the degree up to four years.
An allowance of $6,000 per year (48 credit points of study) for the duration of his degree up to four years.
Up to a maximum of $14,000 towards accommodation. Candidate must apply directly to Monash Residential Services (MRS) for on-campus accommodation.

Selection Criteria:

This scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement and personal circumstances. Preference will be given to a student enrolling in the Bachelor of Business.

Scholarship Continuity:

To retain this scholarship:

The candidate must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark of 50 or above each semester.
The candidate can continue to receive the scholarship if his residency changes, however, he will not be eligible to continue to receive tuition payments if he is changed to a Commonwealth Supported Place and is eligible to defer his fees, but he may continue to receive the allowance.
The candidate may be asked to provide an annual progress report to donors, giving him an opportunity to share his experiences and benefits.
