Leaders of Tomorrow is offering an internship opportunity with Souq Fann in Jordan as a Logistics and Customer Services Assistant.

Responsibilities:

A successful Logistics and Customer Assistant performing his/her internship is able to support and hence ensure good coordination between the different actors, including vendors and customers. This includes

  • Supporting with organizing and maintaining the Souq Fann warehouse.
  • Managing the inboxes of the different communication tools: Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp. This includes answering Souq Fann community’s requests and placing the orders of the customers, from social media to Souq Fann website. 
  • Confirming the placed orders with the customers.
  • Preparing the ordered items for shipping. 
  • Coordinating the shipping process between Souq Fann warehouse and the shipping actors, domestic and international. Following up with the shipment, to make sure that it’s well delivered to the customers. 
  • Supporting with researching and dealing with different kinds of actors such as shipping companies, packaging organizations, and suppliers.
  • Conducting customer surveys when required. 
  • Helping the vendors with the transportation of the products.

Systems Management:

  • Managing and updating the inventory database as well as the sourcing database when necessary.
  • Managing orders on SouqFann.com and coordination with technical when needed.

Overall Platform Development:

  • Contributing to the overall sales and marketing strategy of the platform
  • Representing Souq Fann to vendors and other stakeholders when appropriate

Characteristics and Qualifications: 

Performing well in this position requires:

  • Excellent command of Excel and any additional program(s) for inventory management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with many different types of people 
  • Ability to manage customer relationships, including good English communication skills
  • Appreciation for manual work and being in good physical condition for carrying the products and organizing the warehouse 
  • Accuracy with information management, especially inventory database and budget 
  • An appreciation of Jordan’s artistic and handicraft sector, and an understanding of relevant cultural and economic factors 
  • Unwavering attention to detail and drive to succeed 
  • Ability and willingness to work outside of normal working hours
  • Ability to learn and analyze new and conflicting information quickly and effectively 

A successful candidate will also have the following qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in good standing from an accredited university
  • No former experience is required; this internship position is a great opportunity for fresh graduates. 
  • A relevant degree in the fields of logistics, finance, administration, project management, retail purchasing, or similar. 
  • Eligible to work in Jordan
  • Committed to Souq Fann’s mission and vision
