IRC provides a job opportunity in Yemen to work as a health information system and reporting assistant. The health information system and reporting assistant will be responsible to ensure the high quality and timely inputs of data from health activities in the North and South. You will work closely with primary, reproductive, and community health/integrated community case management teams, for supporting and monitoring health activities, ensuring that all means of verification are documented and that program data is accurate and reliable. The health information system and reporting assistant will be reporting to senior health system information officer.

Eligibility:

You must have:

Be a university graduate, in computer science, health sciences, or other relevant topics.
Strong oral and written communications skills in English and Arabic.
Excellent experience in writing report.
At least two years of work experience in monitoring and evolution fields.
Previous experience with humanitarian organizations.
High commitment to deadlines and detail oriented
Knowledge of CommCare and KOBO programs for smart tool data collection would be as asset.
Ability to conduct field visits to IRC health program sites throughout the country.
Very good computer skills in MS Word especially Excel.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
The ability to work after office hours to achieve assigned tasks as per need & priority.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible of:

Overseeing reporting and data quality in an accurate and timely manner.
Systematically screens and cross-checks internal and external reports, situational reports, information and communication material for accuracy and consistency.
Update on a weekly basis the internal databases for all the activities and share it with senior health system information officer.
Translate documents from Arabic to English and vice versa.
Ensure to document all means of verification for health program activities for a range of different donors.
Conduct regular data auditing visits to mobile health teams (MHTs), supported health facilities (HFs), and supported comprehensive and basic emergency obstetric care (C/BEMOC) centers in health program sites to check data quality, verify data sources, and provide on the job training and on the spot feedback.
Assist in consolidating and following up on corrective actions set by program team following monitoring and verification findings.
Provide orientation and training to health staff on data collection/ monitoring/ survey tools as needed.
Providing timely and detailed feedback whenever identifying any significant gap in the program activities.
Attend IRC and external stakeholders’ meetings, as necessary.
Attend IRC training/workshops when required and/or arranged by program.
Perform any other task needed and requested by supervisor.
