The Better Business Bureau Education Foundation of Delaware is proud to announce the Student Ethics Scholarship program. This program recognizes college-bound Seniors who personify high ethics as demonstrated through leadership, community service, overall personal integrity and academic history. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.

Eligibility Criteria

Must show leadership, community service and academic success.  Specifically:

  • Leadership: Describe extracurricular, work or school-related activities. Include awards/honors or offices held.
  • Community service: Describe activities outside of school and in your community, such as church. Include awards/honors or offices held.
  • Academic: Enclose a copy of your most recent transcript. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required. Describe post-secondary education plans. Describe awards received for academic achievement.

Optional: Students may submit a short personal statement (200 words or less).

Application Process

Essay must be 500 words or less, single-spaced on 8.5-inch by 11-inch page.
All applicants must be nominated/sponsored by any employee, owner or company principal representing a BBB-accredited business. Entries should include the completed entry form and two letters of recommendation: 300 words or less on one 8.5-inch by 11-inch page, single-spaced. Name must not be on any pages of the essay to prevent judges from seeing entrants’ identifying information. Essays will be judged by an independent panel selected by the BBB from business and community leaders. A copy of most recent high school transcript is required. Family of BBB staff and board members are not eligible to apply.
