UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity, as Association for Community Awareness (ASCOA) is looking for 10 volunteers that have years of experience in grant proposal writing and have won a grant, their expertise can help ASCOA to improve in its mission and vision.

This project is to the environmental unit of ASCOA to fight against ocean trash and to free coastlines in Cameroon from trash and plastic pollution. There has been a lot of accumulating and littering of beaches in recent times and ASCOA has been on the ground cleaning coastline for the past three years. Reasons why ASCOA wishes to organize a conference to educate communities in Cameroon mostly when it comes to Marine pollution, plastic pollution, and cleaning of the coastal area. 

Volunteer duration and working hours:

6-10 hours per week for 12 weeks.

Eligibility criteria:

  1. Experience in grant proposal writing and research of funding opportunities. 
  2. Previous NGO and project development experience would be an asset, ability to win grant proposal. 
  3. Outstanding grammar and research skills on grant writing 
  4. Excellent grammar and strong grant writing skills needed;
  5. knowledge of nonprofits. only applicants with grant winning experience will be accepted. 
  6. The only application in English will be accepted. Ability to communicate in English.

Volunteer task:

Online Volunteers will not be asked to submit funding requests on behalf of ASCOA. We encourage volunteers with a strong background in a Non-profit organization and fundraising skills.

They will help to research for funding opportunities and draft proposals, that can enable ASCOA to raise funds to organize an environmental conference on environmental protection.
