The Study IT in Estonia program is inviting students, researchers, scholars, academia to be part of its 2020 Cyber Security Winter School. This year the Winter School will focus on cybersecurity in the transportation sector, especially on the automotive sector. Incidents and attacks in this sector can be widespread, affect large numbers of people, and have serious consequences. As a result of technological developments, the sector is moving towards digitalization and automation - self-driving cars, autonomous ships, drones, etc. Therefore, raising awareness and increasing cooperation and mutual understanding between transportation and cybersecurity experts are particularly important.

The program will include:

  • OSINT exercise carried out in collaboration with transport organizations.
  • Automotive CTF competition hosted by Cyber Talents.
  • Tabletop exercise.
  • Hacking the TalTech Iseauto.
  • Talks by representatives of transport companies.
  • Prizes for the winners.
  • Option to earn 3 ECTS credit points (There is an option to receive 3 ECTS credit points for completing the Winter School when participating in the full program and after the event submitting a written report on Iseauto threats).

The event will be held online. All necessary details will be sent to the participants before the event.

Participants:

Master and Ph.D. students, researchers, domain experts.

Study Methods:

The course will include talks, OSINT and tabletop exercises, online CTF competition, working in small groups of participants. 

Participation Fees:

FREE for students, researchers, scholars, academia.

200 EUR (excl. VAT) for all others.
