Position Purpose

Art & Design in the School of Visual and Performing Arts is looking for an individual to fill a Student Worker position. The person selected will provide online classroom support for Art History Survey II (Art 1825), a large general studies class, under the supervision of the professor.

Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent
Computer Skills Word-Processing, Presentation, Other - Blackboard
Experience

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following qualities:
*Knowledge and experience with Blackboard
*Attention to detail, ability to take verbal and written direction, and to think ahead
*Ability to work independently within departmental policies and guidelines
*Excellent written and oral communication skills
*Integrity, punctuality, and dependability

Job Duties include:
*Maintain attendance records and help track at-risk students
*Participate in online discussions over course content
*Assist in posting materials to online platforms
*Consult or assist with acquiring digital materials for course readings
*Create and maintain calendars and task list
Self-starter, good organizational skills, and ability to follow instructions is a must.

This job is 5 hours per week. Prefer a graduate student.
