The UCD School of Economics invites applications for the MLitt/PhD programme in Economics. We offer a structured 4-year programme, with one year of coursework (MLitt phase) followed by three years of PhD research under close supervision. Our faculty covers all areas of economics, with particular strengths in applied microeconomics (labour, health, education), behavioural economics and international trade. The programme is aimed at preparing students for academic positions as well as positions in international organisations and governments.

UCD offers a vibrant research environment. Together with the Geary Institute for Public Policy and the UCD Behavioral Science Center, the School runs multiple weekly seminar series and regularly organizes workshops.

We offer several scholarships that cover living expenses (15,000€ p.a. tax free) and a tuition fee waiver. Students in receipt of a scholarship are expected to work as teaching assistants for 2-4h/week. Deadline for applications is February 15, 2021.

Students can apply here . Detailed information about the programme can be found here
