Research Associate (Mathematics and Statistics) The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is established to advance knowledge and nurture technically-grounded leaders and innovators to serve societal needs, with a focus on Design, through an integrated multi-disciplinary curriculum and multi-disciplinary research. It is one of the six auton omous universities in Singapore. SUTD is looking for a Postdoc to work on developing novel statistical techniques that will aid in improving large-scale regression, classification and other machine learning problems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable programming in Matlab, have strong analytical skills, and have ability to learn new material. A PhD in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Probability / Statistics or equivalent is required. Additional desired skills are in C++, multivariate analysis, Monte Carlo methods, functional analysis, measure / probability theory, Bayesian statistics.
