We are currently inviting applications for a PhD in Linguistics funded by the Economic and Social Research Council as part of the South East Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS ) Doctoral Training Partnership.
The University of Reading is at the forefront in innovative research in Linguistics. Reading has been known for decades as a centre of excellence in Clinical Language Sciences, Applied Linguistics, Language Development, English Language Teaching, Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics. We are currently inviting applications from excellent UK and international students for PhD study funded by the Economic and Social Research Council as part of the South East Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS) Doctoral Training Partnership. Awards are available on both a +3 (PhD) and a 1+3 (MSc/MA + PhD) basis. Interested candidates can find information about our areas of research expertise through consulting the websites of our two research groups in linguistics, the Modern Languages and Linguistics Research Division , housed within the Department of English Language and Applied Linguistics (DELAL), and the Language, Development and Aging Research Division in the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences (PCLS). Applicants must apply for a place of admission at the University of Reading by 18 January 2021 and for SeNSS funding by 12.00 noon on Monday 1 February 2021.
