You should have a Ph.D. in Biology with experience in cell culture, chromatin biology, genome editing and high-throughput sequencing. Ideally, evidence for this will be provided by your contributions to published research papers. Expertise in Bioinformatics is not strictly required, but you must bring a keen interest in the field and be confident to work interdisciplinary. We would like you to start as soon as possible, at your earliest convenience.

The successful applicant will work with the team investigating the mechanisms by which MLL protein family members dynamically establish H3K4me3 patterns and their temporal effects on transcription.

Appointment as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant on the Grade 7 salary scale is dependent upon you having been awarded a PhD. An appointment may be considered if you are shortly expected to be awarded a PhD. In this case, the initial appointment would be made as a Research Assistant on the Training Grade 7 salary scale (Spinal Point 25 - 28 £29,176 - £31,866).

The position is fixed-term, with funding currently available until 31st October 2024.
