<p class="ql-indent-1">Our group focuses on the role of cell adhesion molecules, amongst which CD44, in tumor progression and metastasis. We are part of the Institute of Biological and Chemical Systems-Functional Molecular Systems (IBCS-FMS) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. </p><p class="ql-indent-1">In the current project, we aim at investigating the consequences of the removal of CD44 in the microenvironment on the development of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). We also aim at performing high throughput screening of compounds inhibiting this disease. We are searching for enthusiastic PhD students holding a Master degree in biology.</p><p class="ql-indent-1"><br></p><p class="ql-indent-1">Candidates should have a sound background in cellular and molecular biology.</p><p class="ql-indent-1">Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English are expected.</p><p class="ql-indent-1">We offer a stimulating, diverse and international research environment.</p><p class="ql-indent-1">Please send a motivation letter and a complete CV and contact information of at least one referee to<strong> veronique.orian-rousseau@kit.edu </strong>.
