A PhD student position is available at the Medical University of Vienna within a project funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), P32777. The aim of this project is to determine the regulation of skin barrier formation in terrestrial vertebrates. Advanced biochemical methods and in vitro skin models will be used to gain new insights into the protective functions of the skin. The project continues a successful line of research at the interface of evolutionary biology and biomedical sciences. Requirements:
MSc in biology, biochemistry or biotechnology
Enthusiam for science
Ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary team
