The post-doctoral fellow will be in charge of leading a specific part of an ANR project related to the preparation of new luminescent polymetallic assemblies based on Cu (I) ions. He or she will contribute to activities such as the synthesis of new derivatives, their complete characterization, the study of their photophysical properties in the solid state. He / she will lead a collaborative work with the associated teams in Rennes and Regensburg. He / she will also be engaged in the supervision of undergraduate and doctoral students involved in the project. He / she will be involved in the preparation of the publication of one or more articles on the analyzes of the data collected during the project. The data may be communicated during internal ANR meetings and national and international conferences.

The postdoctoral researcher will join the Solid State and Materials Chemistry team of the Institute of Chemical Sciences of Rennes, UMR 6226. The researcher will be hosted at the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Rennes (INSA-Rennes) under the supervision of Dr Christophe Lescop. He / she will be involved in the international ANR-DFG SUPRALUM project, “Coordinated luminescent supramolecular assemblies based on pre-organized Cu (I) precursors stabilized by ligands of main group elements”. This project is a multidisciplinary project in the field of molecular materials with the objective of designing, synthesizing and studying multifunctional compounds whose luminescence properties can be modulated by an external stimulus. In addition to the team from the Institute of Chemical Sciences in Rennes (teams of Dr C. Lescop and Dr K. Costuas), members of the University of Regensburg in Germany (teams of Prof. Dr M. Scheer and Prof. . Dr. H. Yersin) are also involved in the project and intense collaborative work between these teams is expected during this postdoctoral work. More specifically, the recruited researcher will be responsible for the preparation and characterization of new flexible polymetallic supramolecular assemblies combining luminescence and detection properties in particular, which will be based on luminescent Cu (I) precursors.

This post-doctoral work is funded by an international ANR-DFG project and will take place within the framework of a collaboration involving other research teams in Rennes and Regensburg in Germany. The candidate will be hosted at the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Rennes in the Solid Chemistry and Materials team (https://www.insa-rennes.fr/iscr-csm.html ) belonging to the Institute of Chemical Sciences de Rennes, UMR 6226 CNRS (https://iscr.univ-rennes1.fr/ ).
