The postdoctoral researcher will work in project funded by the ANR at the Genome Biology Department of the I2BC. The objectives are to study Salmonella chromosome organization and its dynamics during infection to unveil novel mechanisms of virulence regulation, with a particular focus on the activity of Nucleiod Associated Proteins (NAPs).
The postdoc will have the opportunity to work in a team that is internationally recognized as expert in the field of genome 3D-organization. The postdoc will be under the supervision of the coordinator of the project and will work in close collaboration with a PhD student. She/he will also will benefit of the collaboration with other team members and with national and international renowned experts in the field. All the equipment needed to develop this project and the access to essential sequencing facilities are available in the host Institute.
The candidate will work in the « OCB» team (https://www.i2bc.paris-saclay.fr/spip.php?article177 ) in the Genome Biology Department of the I2BC.
The I2BC is a University of Paris-Saclay/CNRS/CEA research unit situated in the research campus of Gif-sur-Yvette, 35km southwest of Paris. The campus is in close proximity to a natural park and is deserved by public transportation with direct access to Paris. The institute hosts around 750 people among 60 research teams and 14 state-of-the-art technical facilities.
