The selected candidate will developed a research project that aim at deciphering the activation mechanism of G protein coupled receptors (GPCRs). The candidate will express and purify GPCR and GPCRs signalling complexes and performed biophysical and structural characterisation of the purified receptor. The main objective is performed structural characterisation of GPCR signalling complexes at the atomic scale.
The IGF is University, CNRS and INSERM research unit located on the Medical Sciences campus in Montpellier (http://www.igf.cnrs.fr ). IGF 19 research teams develop multidisciplinary research project from the atomic scale to animal model. Our institute is internationally established in the field of GPCRs and molecular pharmacology and provide a state of the art research environment.
The selected candidate will be part of the team Molecular and structural mechanism of neuromodulation, in the neuroscience department.
We are seeking a highly motivated biochemist with experience in molecular biology, membrane protein expression (insect and mammalian cells) and purification. Experience with cryoEM would also be appreciated but not essential, as training will be provided.
