Description

This scholarship is awarded to assist financially disadvantaged students, with preference to students studying in the fields of music and physics.

It was established in 1974 with a fund of $5200 raised by public subscription in memory of Neil Mather Brice, DSc, who at the time of his death was Professor of Electrical Engineering at Cornell University, New York, USA. The fund is established for the purpose of granting out of the moneys thereof assistance to students suffering financial disability.  Having regard to Dr Brice’s interests in the fields of music and physics, assistance will be given to eligible students studying in these fields in preference to other students.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to students who:

  • have the academic ability to pursue and complete their chosen program at the University, and
  • will, without financial assistance, be unable to continue the program or will suffer undue hardship in continuing it.
