The purpose of the scholarship is to provide assistance to students who have experienced financial hardship to study science at The University of Queensland.
An applicant is eligible for the scholarship, if the applicant:
i. Submits a completed application to the Executive Dean, by the closing date for applications; and
ii. Is a domestic student
iii. Is enrolled full-time in an approved program
Please complete and submit the Future Scientist Scholarship online application form by 28th February 2021 at 11.59 PM AEST. Please ensure you've read the prompts in the application form and attach all relevant supporting documents before submitting your application. No late or incomplete scholarship applications will be considered.
All submissions will be kept confidential and only used for the purposes of assessing the scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded to the applicant showing greatest need / merit as demonstrated by:
i. Demonstrated financial need and gross household income reported to the Australian Tax Office (ATO) for the previous financial year; and
ii. A written personal statement demonstrating personal hardship.
iii. Not in current receipt of another scholarship that the Executive Dean considers similar.
iv. Any other matter that the Executive Dean considers relevant for selection such as increasing diversity of the student cohort or academic merit in the approved program
Scholarship value : The number and amount of each scholarship will be determined by the Executive Dean depending on the amount in the fund.
