Reference No. 2021/018. The Department of Computer and Information Science in the Faculty of Sciences seeks to fill this position, subject to the approval by the University Council and the Ministry of Science, Research and The Arts Baden Württemberg by October 1, 2021.

Candidates should be internationally recognised with a research record in computing systems and their foundations, ideally in one or more of the areas of cyber-physical systems, autonomous systems, robotics, cyber-security as well as modelling and analysis of systems. A close cooperation with the members of the main research topic of our department called “Analysis and interactive visualisation of complex models and large data spaces”, with the Collaborative Research Centre TRR 161 “Quantitative Methods for Visual Computing”, or the Centre of Excellence “Centre for the Advanced Study of Collective Behaviour” is expected. You have a proven record of high-quality teaching in this area.

Minimum qualifications include a doctorate in computer science or a very closely related area, internationally outstanding scientific results, an excellent publication record, significant competitive third-party funding and a habilitation or an equivalent qualification.

You are able and willing to teach a broad range of courses on Bachelor and Master level in German and English.
