We are looking for a Teaching Associate in the School of Psychology to deliver high quality teaching in one or more of the core areas of Psychology.

We believe that diverse teams deliver the highest quality teaching, research and student experience. To achieve our vision of being among the top ranked Schools in all areas for Research, Knowledge Exchange, Education and Student Experience, we are seeking applications from high quality people who will join our staff community who we believe will act as the role models for the next generation of psychologists. We understand that our teaching and research are enhanced by having a diversity of opinions that enriches our collegiate community by the sharing of new ideas, lived experiences, broad perspectives and different ways of solving problems. If you can bring this difference – this role might be for you.

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Associate to contribute to the development of undergraduate students, mainly through creation and delivery of workshops, tutorials, and seminars and supervision of project students at undergraduate or masters level. You will also contribute to lectures or seminars in one or more core areas of psychology  with a focus on research methods and academic skills. Experience teaching cognitive, developmental, applied or clinical psychology would be an advantage. The University is offering blended learning for the academic year 2020-2021. You will have completed, or be working toward completion of, a PhD or equivalent in Psychology or related area, have experience of teaching and have completed a BPS accredited undergraduate degree (or equivalent conversion or overseas course).

The post is offered on a full-time (36.25 hours per week), fixed-term contract until 31 January 2022.

In return, you will receive a generous holiday entitlement and a benefits package including contributory pension scheme as well as options enabling you to save money on childcare, shopping, and services.
