The LUT School of Business and Management is looking for a junior researcher in business, economy and sustainability to strengthen its corporate sustainability research team. Specifically, we are looking for a curious mind who is aiming for an academic career and is passionate about the circular economy – especially behavioural and cultural barriers to the circular economy transition.

The goal of the doctoral dissertation of this junior researcher will be to understand and explore how to overcome the behavioural and cultural barriers to the transition towards a circular economy, primarily through novel circular business model experimentation. The junior researcher will work on this research gap: the adaptation to behavioural change among consumers, B2B and business managers, exploring the growth of novel circular economy business model experimentation and the changes in consumption behavior.

The work will start on LUT’s Lappeenranta campus in March–April 2021 (negotiable) with a six-month trial period. The salary is based on the current collective agreement for Finnish universities.
