The University of Oklahoma (OU) is pleased to announce a tenure-track/tenured Associate Professor position beginning in August of 2021. This is a new faculty position due to recent growth in the numbers of program offerings and students being served by the Division of Marketing & Supply Chain Management (MSCM).

The Price College of Business is AACSB-accredited with approximately 4,700 undergraduate, 500 master’s, and 35 doctoral students.  Its undergraduate program is ranked 50th by U.S. News and World Report, and its professional and full-time MBA programs are ranked 52nd and 58th.  The Division of Marketing and Supply Chain Management is a vibrant community of scholars and teachers with a wide range of interests across the disciplines of marketing and supply chain management.

The University of Oklahoma (OU) is a Carnegie-R1 comprehensive public research university known for excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement, serving the educational, cultural, economic, and healthcare needs of the state, region, and nation from four campuses: Norman, MBA programs in nearby Oklahoma City, Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, and the Schusterman Center in Tulsa.  OU enrolls over 30,000 students and has nearly 3,000 full-time faculty members in 21 colleges.  Norman is a culturally rich and vibrant town located just outside of Oklahoma City. With outstanding schools, amenities, and a low cost of living, Norman is a perennial contender on the “Best Places to Live” rankings.  Visit for more information.

The successful candidate must hold a doctorate in Marketing (or a related discipline) and must also have a national reputation as an engaged and successful scholar with a research program that includes impactful publications in leading marketing journals. The successful candidate must also be an accomplished teacher who is capable of successfully designing and delivering undergraduate and graduate courses (including MBA, doctoral, and executive courses). Evidence of teaching excellence is expected.

The preferred area of specialization is flexible, but individuals with backgrounds in these areas would fit the mission of the MSCM Division and the Price College of Business well: Business-to-Business Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Research Methods, Digital Marketing, and/or Marketing Analytics/Engineering.  Since the MSCM Division has a Supply Chain Management major, houses the Healthcare Business major, and supports the new Price College of Businesses’ Executive Master of Business Administration Program in Aerospace and Defense (EMBA in A&D), experiences in these areas, or the ability to contribute to research and teaching in these areas, are valued.
