The candidate will develop a new and multidisciplinary research related to the personalized medicine and the issues of increased use of phytotherapy into the treatment of patients suffering from cancer.

After genetic polymorphism experiments, analyses of interactions between herbal and conventional medicines and studies on recurrent practices involving phytotherapy in cancer patients, the researcher will develop clinical practice guidelines useful for oncologists and clinical pharmacists. This research methodology could be then applied to other pathologies.

The appointment to the academic staff of ULB is made at “Premier Assistant” level, if the candidate has had a PhD for less than eight years (on 1 October of the year of appointment). As of their appointment, members of academic staff are authorised to use the honorary title of ”Professeur”.
