A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Emerson/Stokes Collaboration at Mississippi State University. This interdisciplinary research team has broad interests in the fields of Bioinorganic chemistry, Biophyisics, Chemical Synthesis, and Catalysis. The funded position will be focused upon studying the thermodynamics of a metal-dependent transcription factor and its DNA binding site. The ideal candidate is expected to be self-motivated, show strong leadership potential, and have a solid record of publications within related fields. Recent Ph.D. graduates in chemistry, biochemistry, or biophysics with experience in protein methods and calorimetry are encouraged to apply. Other duties also involve group management and supervision of undergraduate and graduate researchers in the laboratory.
