The focus of your work will be to develop and optimize machine learning solutions in the field of Natural Language Processing. Within the Research Team "Text Analytics and Dialogue Systems", we are looking for a highly motivated Researcher.

You will work in an inspiring team of machine learning experts, computational linguists, software engineers, and data scientists that is committed to intellectual liberty and scientific excellence. Over the past 8 years, we have successfully run more than 30 projects, we have achieved top ranks at several international competitions (e.g. SemEval, GermEval, VarDial etc.), and we regularly publish papers at top-level conferences such as ACL and EMNLP (best paper honorable mention in 2020!). In addition, we are founders and organizers of the SwissText conference, the major NLP conference in Switzerland.
The focus of your work will be to develop and optimize machine learning solutions in the field of Natural Language Processing. This covers a broad range of topics, from Text Classification/Sentiment Analysis to Dialogue Systems/Chatbots to Speech-to-Text (also for Swiss German).
This position is open for researchers and practitioners at any stage of the career, including PostDocs. For junior researchers, it can be turned into a PhD position by mutual agreement.
