We are looking for a Senior Laboratory Research Scientist (SLRS) to establish a Viral Vector service at the Francis Crick Institute. The post holder will generate viral vectors to enable the research carried out at the Crick in fields ranging from cancer biology to systems neuroscience and consult Crick researchers on production and application of these vectors. Viral vectors generated by this service will be used in a range of applications, including for tracing of neuronal connectivity, recording and manipulation of neuronal activity in the mouse brain, generation of transgenic mouse lines using CRISPR-mediated gene editing, CRISPR screens aiming to understand mechanisms of development, oncogenesis, or gene regulation and so on. The post holder will closely work with Crick virologists and molecular biologists.
