At BI Norwegian Business School, Department of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour, Campus Oslo, there is a vacancy as Professor/Associate Professor in Project Management with an angle relevant to organizational behavior. The position will be associated with the academic group for project management.

The position requires a Norwegian doctoral degree or foreign doctoral degree of the same scope and quality as a Norwegian doctoral degree, within the subject area of project management. The position is subject to a 50% research obligation and the person hired must have formal competence in project management-relevant issues. Ideally, the candidate has expertise in project management and leadership, establishment and organization of projects, portfolios and project-based businesses, implementation models and innovation, as well as knowledge development in projects.

The position requires experience with international publishing within the subject areas described above. Relevant candidates must have completed significant independent research and international publication in international journals after completing their doctorate. Other consultancy, dissemination activities, research management and contributions to research projects will also be emphasized. In addition, any administrative experience, management skills and business knowledge will be considered.

The Department of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour has 77 employees, including PhD students, affiliated employees at BI's campuses, emeritus and administrative staff. The department and the academic group in project management offer education in project management at bachelor and master level (Master of Science, Executive Master of Management, EMBA). The person appointed must expect teaching and supervision assignments in project management both at bachelor, master, and Executive. BI is looking for people with a good ability to disseminate knowledge, research results and practical knowledge for our students. Candidates must master English both in writing and in speaking.

As part of the department's teaching portfolio is aimed at Norwegian working life and since many of the study offers are aimed at Norwegian-speaking students, the employee must be fluent in Norwegian/Scandinavian language and have knowledge and understanding of Norwegian/Scandinavian working life. Applicants who do not have sufficient knowledge of the Norwegian/Scandinavian language must have acquired Norwegian knowledge corresponding to level B2 within three years of joining. We actively encourage women to apply.

Scientific competence will be evaluated in accordance with the ordinary regulations for academic positions at universities and specialised university institutions. Potential candidates will be invited to interviews and seminar presentations. BI Norwegian Business School reserves the right to reject applicants who, though academically qualified, do not satisfy other requirements like pedagogical ability or collaborative skills.

Questions about the position can be directed to Head of Department Øyvind Martinsen, telephone +47 464 10 737/oyvind.martinsen@bi.no.

The application, CV and complete list of professional works are sent electronically. The highest degree and other particularly relevant education must be documented.

Applicants should submit their application, including CV, academic papers (up to 15), and list of publications, electronically. Applicants' highest degrees and other particularly relevant qualifications must be documented. Further information and documentation of other activities that may be significant for evaluating applicants' qualifications may also be submitted.

It is not possible to submit work or other documentation after the deadline.

Further qualifications include experience from business-relevant research and studies, international research network, and English language skills. A track-record of international work experience and collaboration with the business or public sector, including R&D work, research dissemination and research-based advisory services, is appreciated.
