The project is a consortium formed with the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). The position will be filled for a fixed-term period of 2 years from August 2021 the latest.

Job description

The recruited researcher will work in RECPHEALS project which addresses resilience, crisis preparedness and security of supply of the Finnish health system. Health systems are among the most critical systems in the societies and their preparedness to crises is of major importance in societies dealing with catastrophic events. The general research question for the project is “how preparedness to, governance of and learning from different crises cut across the different levels of the health system and how the overall resilience of the Finnish health system can be improved”. The project approaches the questions by integrating expertise from health policy and services research, knowledge management, economics, public law, social psychology, pharmacology and medicine. Our final output is a comprehensive resilience and crises management model for the Finnish health system. The model can be used in preparing for future crises and in evaluating existing and past crises.

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work especially for sub-studies

Within both sub-studies the recruited researcher is working with a multidisciplinary group of researchers from TAU and THL. There are also opportunities to collaborate with national and international collaborators involved in the project.
