The Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology – Hans Knöll Institute – (Leibniz-HKI, www.leibniz-hki.de) investigates the pathobiology of human-pathogenic fungi and identifies targets for the development of novel natural product-based antibiotics.
Talented and highly qualified candidates are invited to apply for position in the department Molecular and Applied Microbiology of Prof. Dr. Axel Brakhage as
for two years initially.
Successful candidates will investigate the molecular mechanism of interaction between the human pathogenic fungus Aspergillus fumigatus and the immune system within the framework of the BMBF-funded InfectControl 2020 project AnDiPath (www.infectcontrol.de).

The successful candidate will be hosted in the department Molecular and Applied Microbiology of Prof. Dr. Axel Brakhage. The Leibniz-HKI is embedded in the outstanding scientific environment of the Beutenberg Campus providing state-of-the-art research facilities and a highly integrative network of life science groups.
