In 2019, Alumni Friends determined to replace the prize, and to establish an endowed undergraduate scholarship under the Create Change Scholarship Match Initiative to support undergraduate students studying engineering who are facing financial hardship.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support a final year engineering student studying at The University of Queensland who is facing financial hardship in any field of the civil engineering discipline.
