Sogang University, its Korean name Sogang Taehakkyo, is a private university located in Seoul, South Korea in the district of Mapo. It was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1960 as Georgetown University in the United States and Sophia University in Japan.
The university offers scholarships to attract international students.
