If you wish to study music and pursue it as a full-time career, then you must take a look at the Meistersinger Music Scholarships programme organized by the Wartburg College in the United States.

This scholarship is extended to exceptional artists and musicians from international countries who want to study music or non-music major at Wartburg. Winners will not only get financial support for their studies but will also get a chance to participate in an ensemble.

Wartburg College is a private Lutheran liberal arts college established in 1852. It holds a mission to be dedicated to challenging and nurturing students for lives of leadership and service as a spirited expression of their faith and learning and is now ranking 162nd in National Liberal Arts Colleges in the United States.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can apply for music and non-music majors at Wartburg.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants are required to have responded to an audition invitation and be accepted for admission by the college.

Offered Benefits

The winners of the support will receive a total sum of $5,000 altogether towards studying music and non-music majors and opting for music lessons in each term.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: The applicants can apply at Wartburg College through its particular application portal o through the Common Application.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Official copy(ies) of secondary school transcript(s)
  • A counselor recommendation or letter of recommendation
  • A writing sample
  • High school Diploma
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants are required to appear for the GED test and score an average of 500 or above. ACT or SAT scores are also accepted.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 6.0
  • TOEFL IBT – 80
  • TOEFL PBT – 550
  • PTE – 53
  • Duolingo – 160
  • GTEC CBT – 1200
