Description

The scholarship will cover the cost of the Company Directors Course offered by the Australian Institute for Company Directors (AICD). The course is available in various formats including self-paced, online and face to face. It is a condition of the Scholarship that the course be completed within 6 months of being awarded, so we ask that you consider your availability to complete the course within the expected time frame.

Eligibility

An applicant is eligible for the Scholarship, if the applicant –

(a)     submits an application to the Associate Dean by the advertised closing date for applications; and

(b)     is a domestic student in accordance with the university’s Fee Policy; and

(c)     is enrolled full-time in an Approved Program; and

(d)     does not hold another scholarship that the Associate Dean considers to be similar.

Please note:

You must include a personal statement in your application. Your personal statement (of no more than 200 words) must demonstrate the following:

  1. your motivation to undertake the Company Directors Course; and
  2. the expected benefits to your future aspirations. 

Selection criteria

(1)           For the selection process, the Associate Dean must establish a selection committee, comprising:

(a)     the Associate Dean (or nominee), as chair of the committee; and

(b)     at least two members drawn from either professional or academic staff of the Faculty of Medicine.

(2)           The Scholarship is awarded to the applicant showing greatest merit based on-

(a)     the applicant’s personal statement; and

(b)     any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant.
