Our grandmother, Anne DiSerafino, was an extremely talented watercolor artist. She always said she painted because she couldn’t afford to buy artwork for her walls, so she did it herself.
Back in her day, it was uncommon for women to attend college, and if they did, it was for nursing or teaching. She never had the opportunity to go to art school, but she expressed that looking back, she wished she could have. It is only fitting that upon her death, we give another young artist that opportunity in honor of her life and love for art.
The Anne DiSerafino Memorial Arts Scholarship exists to support one female artist who is pursuing a fine arts education at any 4-year college or university.
To apply, please share with us what drives your passion for art and how this scholarship would help you pursue that passion.
